Adjustment #4

Hey everyone
So I went to the orthodontist today for an adjustment and I still dont have a surgery date, go figure.
Well anyway this is what went down lol
  1. Top bracket changed, don't know why or what this tooth is called
  2. New steel wires put in, these are the surgery wires
  3. Power chain on top and bottom
  4. Front tooth filed, apparently is was too wide on the bottom and too long

I have my next adjustment January 31 2012
I also uploaded a video explaining more.

  1. I love the first picture that cracked me up haha you look happy. I just watched the video too. How did they file your teeth down? Like with a tool or by hand? Sounds painful and my front two are like that as well and now I feel like thats going to happen to me too. Gives me chills just thinking about it. Hope your not hurting too bad! Your smile already looks great so the end product will be perfect I'm sure!

  2. Ugh my reply just disappeared, here I'll try again.
They filed my teeth with a rotary tool, it actually didn't hurt at all. Now the only weird thing is that the tooth they filed has a squared off edge that feels very unnatural. It looks really good though since now my two front teeth are identical and fit together perfectly. The weird thing is I was actually going to ask the ortho about making those teeth fit together better but I kept forgetting.
Trust me though it hurt more to have the brackets changed, I actually hated when they filed the glue off the move my brackets, I don't know why but my teeth were so sensitive to that.

  3. Interesting. I'm definitely going to ask about it at my next appointment in January then. Thanks for the info!
